How We Work With Gardens

Understanding the relationship between plants, soil, weather, and human intention has been our focus for over twelve years.

Garden tools and workspace

Our Foundation

We started in 2014 with a simple observation: most garden services either treated yards as generic spaces requiring identical treatments, or they overpromised transformations without accounting for Scottish climate realities.

The gap between these approaches created our opportunity. We built a practice around location-specific knowledge, honest assessments, and maintenance plans that actually fit how people use their gardens.

What began as two people with horticultural training and commercial landscaping equipment has grown into a team serving residential and commercial properties across Glasgow's varied neighborhoods.

Professional garden design work

What Guides Our Decisions

Every recommendation starts with your site's specific conditions. We assess sunlight exposure throughout the day, test soil drainage and pH, identify existing microclimates, and map how weather patterns affect different areas of your property.

This information determines plant selection, maintenance frequency, irrigation needs, and seasonal adjustments. It's the difference between plants that survive and gardens that flourish.

How We've Developed Our Methods

Working across hundreds of Glasgow properties taught us patterns. West-facing gardens in sandstone tenements share certain characteristics. New-build developments with compacted soil need specific remediation. Victorian townhouse gardens often have mature trees that create unique shade patterns.

We documented what worked and what failed. Which rose varieties actually thrive in Glasgow humidity. How to prevent moss without damaging surrounding plants. The most effective timing for different pruning tasks based on local frost dates.

This accumulated knowledge now shapes our standard practices, but we still adapt every project to its particular context.

Garden maintenance equipment

Our Equipment and Approach

We maintain commercial-grade tools suitable for both precision work and large-area treatments. Regular equipment maintenance ensures clean cuts that promote plant health rather than creating entry points for disease.

Our team receives ongoing training in plant identification, pest management, and updated horticultural practices. This matters because gardening knowledge evolves as climate patterns shift and new cultivars become available.
